WE NEED A DOG PARK IN ATLANTIC BEACH!

A citizen group in Atlantic beach is now forming to create a public dog park in Atlantic beach. We believe that a small dog park in our city would provide a valuable service to a large portion of our residents. It would greatly improve the quality of life for our two legged as well as our four legged residents.

A dog park in our city would also serve as a meeting place for residents and help build a more cohesive community and strengthen our neighborhoods.

If you would like to participate in establishing a dog park in Atlantic Beach please contact Georgia Byers at 993-4608 or email at  beachpetsitter@yahoo.com

Dear animal friends,

Jacksonville Animal Care & Control is launching a city-wide supply drive called "Lend A Helping Paw." The drive runs from May 1 to May 31.

The city of Jacksonville's Animal Care and Control (AC&C) shelter needs your donations.  AC&C's number one wish is for loving, lifetime homes for all homeless animals.  However, they also need items to take care of the animals during their time at the shelter.

  • Dry or canned dog, puppy, cat and kitten food and treats
  • Rabbit, Ferret, Hamster, Gerbil and Guinea pig food and treats
  • “Chew-proof” cat and dog toys that can be disinfected
